Second photographers are not always needed, but having them allows your photos to have more variety and a less stressed approach for photos day of. They are there to help grab shots that the main photographer may miss. For example : when family photos are being taken, the main photographer is not really able to capture cocktail hour (detail shots of the food, guests having a good time, etc.) Second photographers also are able to grab detail shots as soon as ceremony is over of the reception hall and the details on the table if it was not already set up before hand or if there was not time to take it prior.

SECOND SHOOTER'S SHOT

This is an example of what having a second looks like. For first touch, this part of the day can go super quick. I always allow my couple's to take all the time they need for this and let me know once they are done, but usually a first touch lasts around 5 minutes. Having a second there allows the ability to have different angles at the same exact time. I always communicate with my second photographer on what I would like them to shoot to help add more variety to the photos as well.

Here is another example of being able to grab shots while family photos are happening

(only with a second)

When booking a second shooter, I always recommend 4 hours minimum, You may book them from start to finish or partial amount of time that day. Once you are ready to book/add on a second photographer, let me know and I will send out a contract and invoice separate from the wedding invoice you will have (since this is an add on). I also recommend letting me know as soon as possible - as dates gets filled up and I am VERY picky on who second shoots with me. If those I truly trust are not available, I will let you know and we can go from there - BUT I always advise to let me know as soon as possible. This add on is not guaranteed, especially when it is so close to your wedding date.

Add on a second photographer to your wedding day!
